Garbage in, garbage out

WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) is a growing problem worldwide.  The scary issue: most governments, electronics companies and watchdogs don’t know where it is all ending up.  Ironically we know it is ending up in the (with little trace of where it originated) landfills in many countries and leeching into our groundwater and atmosphere.  And yet many of the items that are tossed are in great need and short supply to continue building all the electronic items…

Recycling Old Electronics

Did you ever wonder where and how you get rid of those old electronics such as laptops, cell phones, routers, PC’s and other electronic items?  If you have taken items someplace, did you know if they were properly destroyed, that any data was protected and the items did not wind up in a landfill anywhere in the world?

What is Your Minimum Marketable Feature?

One of the things I ask of any startup, especially unfunded startups, is to tell me their minimum marketable feature—that one rudimentary value of your eventual feature-set that can fetch a price all by itself.  After the eager entrepreneur has rambled for at least 15 seconds, I interrupt with, “That’s great, but what’s your MMF?”  Blank stares inevitably ensue.  And that’s okay.  If you cannot answer today, you simply have some thinking to do.
